Always keep the drip tray filled with water (depending the model). This allows any running off juices and fat to dissipate in the water thereby preventing smoking and flare-ups. You will see some smoke during the first use. This is normal and will not continue for long. If you continue to see smoke, be sure the grill plate has been cleaned properly.
The water you add for the cooking process will create a cool zone, below the cooking surface, into which all the grease will fall and be kept, preventing it from burning on a hot surface and causing fumes or flare-ups.
• Make sure that you have filled the water tray up to its minimum level (1.5L) before starting to cook. • If you do several cookings in a row, make sure that the water level in the tray is kept at the minimum. • Make sure you clean your product after each use: clean the grill to remove cooking grease as well as drain and clean the water tray. • Never place aluminium foil in the water tray, between the heating element and the grid or directly on the cooking grid. • Some foods with a superficial skin (whole sausages, tongue, poultry) or large pieces of meat can splatter by trapping boiling liquids. This is why we advise you to prick them before cooking with a knife or a fork.
We remind you not to leave your product unattended with food in use (preheating and/or cooking).
The products can be fully dismantled for easy cleaning. Grid, cooking plate and water reservoir can be cleaned in the dishwasher. The body of the grill should be wiped down after each use. Never immerse in water. After use, switch off and disconnect your barbecue, wait until fully cooled before cleaning. Grids, handle and base can be wiped with a sponge and washing-up liquid. The heating coil is not to be cleaned. If it is really dirty, wait until it has cooled down and wipe with a dry cloth.
Make sure you clean your product after each use: clean the grill to remove cooking grease as well as drain and clean the water tray.
After following the instructions in the user manual for starting the appliance, make sure that your electrical socket is working by plugging another appliance. If it still does not work, do not try to dismantle or repair the appliance yourself, instead, take it to an approved repair centre
