October 26, 2018

Stains are one of the unavoidable facts that are ought to happen through daily life. But there’s no ‎reason to give up on your favorite garments. So here’s how you can have your clothes brand new!‎ Wash the garment as soon as possible or at least keep it wet until you get home, assuming you ‎were out. And NEVER rub it! When your garment is finally clean, dry and hang it then iron it ‎with a steam iron such as Ultimate Anti-Calc.‎

Juice (dye) stains ‎

Try to run the garment under cold water then wash it using the highest setting possible for the ‎fabric. Remember not to use soap-based detergent because it could make the stain permanent. ‎Soak for 30 minutes in a mixture of 1L of warm water and ¾ tsp of stain removal product. ‎Make sure the stain is completely removed before you dry and iron the garment because any ‎remaining sugars will be caramelized when combined with the heat of your dryer and/or iron ‎and you will end up with a brown stain.‎

Sauces (combination) stains

In a large laundry bowl, combine cold water with ½ tsp of liquid dishwashing detergent and ‎‎1 tsp of vinegar. Soak the garment in the mixture for 30 minutes. Rinse then air dry. Repeat if ‎necessary, and don’t use hot water, dryer or iron until the stain is completely removed.‎

Mud and dairy (protein) stains

If the stain is fresh, soak the garment and agitate it in cold water. If it already dried, scrape or ‎brush off any excess and soak in cold water combined with a stain removal product. Then, ‎wash in warm water and make sure your garment is spotless before you iron it.‎
