To prepare your stove top cake, decide on a simple not so complicated recipe with basic ingredients. One of the easiest 6-serving batters includes: ½ cup sugar, ¼ cup butter, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 egg, ¼ cup milk, ¾ cup flour and 2/3 tsp baking powder. Prepare the batter and set aside.
Your pressure cooker should be large enough to hold at least 3L. Clipso Minut can hold up to 6L so it’s perfect for the task. All you need to do is adapt the cooking time and cake pan size accordingly.
Start by filling the bottom of your pot with 3 cups of water. Fix the steaming basket to create an insulation between the heat and the bottom of your pressure cooker . This will help protecting the cake.
Pour your cake batter in a pan and fit it in the steaming basket. Close the lid and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes. As soon as the steam comes out reduce the heat. Once the timer beeps, release the steam and open the pressure cooker. Allow to cool, then serve.
