When it comes to traditions, every country around the world is recognized by its own. In this article, we will introduce a tradition practiced in Great Britain every Sunday.
For the British, roasted beef is a must during weekends and especially on Sundays, and there’s no denying that there has to be a whole variation of roast beef dishes. So when it comes to what to have with the meat, the fluffy-on-the-inside, crunchy-on-the-outside weekend staple is mostly enjoyed with gravy and sautéed vegetables, which is a must-have by most of them.
Some of the British people choose to go traditional, with peas and carrots boiled in a non-stick pot. Others however, prefer to prepare healthy broccoli and potatoes cooked in a low fat fryer or even some creamy mashed potatoes on the side as they taste delicious alongside the gravy. Many people also choose to bake baby potatoes with their weekend roasts and some even choose to serve vegetable side dishes that are quick and easy to make.
The thing about a weekend dinner is that we can take advantage of it. It’s an opportunity to round up with family and friends, get together around a mouthwatering selection of food and create happy memories that will last forever. Nevertheless, the best roasts for most people are the ones like their parents used to make when they were kids, which makes them feel at home and looked after even after they are all grown up.
